This past summer, members of the lab spent a good part of the month of July studying Macropis nuda (Melittidae) at the Huyck Preserve in Rensselaerville, NY. The Hucyk Preserve hosts a nesting aggregation of Macropis nuda that has been studied for the past 40 years by entomologists at the American Museum of Natural History and Cornell University. Our project was highlighted in the Huyck’s Fall newsletter. Click here to see the article.
