Big news: Graduate student Kass Urban-Mead has accepted a job with the Xerces Society as Mid-Atlantic Pollinator and Beneficial Insect Conservation Planner and NRCS Partner Biologist. Her new office will be based in Columbus NJ starting mid-January 2022, but the job will include travel throughout the NY, PA, NJ, and southern New England states, so I’m sure we’ll see her again soon! Kass will work as a pollinator biologist for conservation plans under NRCS programs, and she will be responsible for outreach and extension projects to assist on-the-ground pollinator conservation projects throughout the region. Congratulations Kass!
